Maisie is in her final year at Newcastle University studying Fine Art. Her most recent works display a great interested in the use of the grid, creating a separation from the ideals of the representational viewpoint. Her paintings are playful and delicate yet with sincere brush strokes. They have themselves created a feminine link to abstraction with the fluidity of line and yet dedicated movements. The grid is a form that suggests uncompromising order, these paintings connect and explore the order in which we live day-to-day by challenging painting as a medium.
